Our client, a reputable medical center, is seeking a receptionist/front desk officer.

The candidate will serve as the first point of contact, handling patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and completing administrative tasks. They will help maintain smooth patient flow, create a welcoming atmosphere, and uphold strict confidentiality standards in a fast-paced environment.


Location; Apapa Lagos

Remuneration: N150,000 monthly

Requirements

Qualification: a minimum of an OND, HND, or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality, or a related field

Experience :2-3 years’ experience in related industry

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

•Greeting and Registration: Welcoming patients and visitors, verifying insurance and personal information, and facilitating check-ins.

•Appointment Management: Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, or canceling appointments for patients, either in person or via telephone.

•Communication: Answering phones, screening calls, taking messages, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.

•Patient Support & Care: Managing patient flow to minimize wait times, providing directions, and assisting anxious or distressed visitors.

•Administrative Tasks: Organizing patient files, maintaining records in EHR/EHS systems, handling paperwork, and managing office supplies.

•Financial Duties: Collecting co-payments, verifying payment information, and processing billing inquiries.

•Confidentiality Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to patient privacy laws when handling medical information.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•             Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to interact with patients and clinical staff.

•             Interpersonal Skills:A friendly, empathetic, and professional demeanor, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

•             Organizational Skills: Excellent multitasking abilities to manage a busy, high-traffic desk.

•             Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic health records (EHR) software.
